John discovered public relations way back in 7th grade while reluctantly watching the movie, Jersey Girl, during a fit of insomnia. Ben Affleck played a public relations agent, and something about that performance compelled John to research the field and connect it to his future self.
Flash forward today and you’ll find John serving clients in our Dallas office, pitching media and forging strategic partnerships for a variety of clients.
He joined our firm in 2015 after graduating from High Point University (HPU) with a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communication and a minor in Mandarin, Chinese, which he speaks proficiently. During summers, he scored internships with three different New York agencies, deepening his knowledge of our craft. As a Media Fellow at HPU, he also traveled to Los Angeles to observe the comings and goings at the Television Critics Association press tour in Los Angeles, getting exposure to show runners and celebrity publicists wrangling high-profile talent.
His college experience included international study programs at Peking University in China and the University of Winchester in England. Back at HPU, John served on the Student Advisory Board of the Nido Quebein School of Communications, as President of the Lambda Pi Eta National Communications Association chapter, as an HPU Ambassador and as president of his social fraternity. This wide involvement led to the university’s highest honor, induction into the Order of the Lighted Lamp, a distinction given to only five exemplary students in each graduating class.
As a self-described yoga failure, John is happiest when there is a lot of action. He stays in the flow by keeping tabs on pop culture, and through his fanatical obsession with sports memorabilia. A native Long Islander, his most prized possession is a sign from inside his childhood perch at the old Meadowlands stadium.
