Joanna Singleton is blazing a trail for us in Texas, where she opened our Dallas office in 2009. She previously worked in our Athens, Ga. office, earning kudos for leading real estate, consumer and not-for-profit accounts. Today, she oversees account work for a variety of Dallas-based clients, including Klyde Warren Park, a 5.2-acre urban green space constructed over the Woodall Rodgers Freeway in downtown Dallas. Over the years she has compiled an impressive network of media contacts that have landed her clients in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and on CNN.
Prior to joining Jackson Spalding in 2005, Joanna worked in Washington, DC for CBS News and a global PR firm where she became well-versed in public affairs and issues management. Her experience inside the Beltway included writing a daily political column for CBS News during the heat of the 2004 presidential nominations and participation in the release of the 9/11 Commission Report.
Joanna graduated magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University with degrees in Journalism and Spanish. That’s where she met her husband, Glenn, who she eventually convinced to adopt her great state of Texas. They are the very proud parents of Penny, who was born during the summer of 2011. She keeps them on their toes, documenting her every move around their neighborhood in the M Streets and on their family ranch, where they enjoy spending their weekends.
Joanna is a member of the Junior League of Dallas and Friends of the Park. In recent years, she has volunteered her time with The Real Estate Council, the Dallas Museum of Art Junior Associates, Interfaith Housing Coalition, Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, the Stewpot and Big Thought.
