Detail management is important to Jenn, a self-described “list person.” This trait and many more make her well suited to handle large-scale events for Toyota up and down the East Coast and to lead our JS Events department, which orchestrates special events for other clients, such as Google, Kilpatrick Townsend and Delta Air Lines.
Jennifer, whose last name rhymes with Gucci, joined our team in 2012 after holding development positions in the North Carolina Triad area. Her last position was Development Manager for Easter Seals in Greensboro, N.C., but she was previously associated with Elon University’s Athletic Department as the Assistant Director of Annual Giving-Events and Director of their booster organization, The Phoenix Club.
Her work at Elon began many years earlier when Jenn received a full tennis scholarship and became an athletic ambassador for the school. Her magnetic personality and leadership skills led to a variety of undergraduate accomplishments. She was an Isabella Cannon Leadership Fellow all four years, president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Board for two years and Captain of Elon’s Women’s Tennis team before graduating, magna cum laude, with a B.A. in Communications.
Always up for a challenge, Jenn decided to pursue an MBA while working 90-hour weeks for Elon’s Athletic Department. She was drawn to business school after experiencing the project management side of events. Her studies took her all the way to Beijing and Hong Kong for an immersive concentration on international business. Her love of events also led Jenn to earn her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, which included logging 5,000 hours of experience. Jenn’s biggest claim to fame so far is ranking #1 in the United States Tennis Association’s 16-and-under competition and consistently breaking records in college despite her underhand serve.
