Emily splits her time between our teams that support Primrose Schools and The Coca-Cola Company. Both are lucky to have her sharp brain, big heart and eagle eye on their work.
She warmed up for her JS experience through internships at a boutique agency, the Athens Regional Library System, and Chick-fil-A, where she supported the team piloting the chain’s mobile ordering and mobile payment app.
Emily graduated with honors from The University of Georgia, earning both a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism degree in Public Relations and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing with an emphasis on Digital Marketing. She had the highest GPA in her graduating class at Grady College, a distinction that put her behind the podium at graduation.
Her collegiate career included active membership in her social sorority, the Public Relations Student Society of America, the executive board of the University Panhellenic Council and an assistantship with UGA’s Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities. One of her biggest honors, however, was her two years as a Leonard Leadership Scholar, one of 30 Terry College of Business undergraduates chosen for this values-based leadership development program.
Emily traveled with a UGA contingent to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, where she and others had unbridled access to celebrities like Conan O’Brien and P Diddy. This experience gave her a chance to learn what makes for the most creative uses of celluloid and a place to observe the champions of schmooze in world-class competition.
She grew up in Calhoun, Ga, which she describes as a Mayberryesque town where everyone knows your name. It’s there she learned that family, faith and friends are most important and the three secrets to life are being kind, being kind and being kind.
