Catherine joined JS as a studio artist in 2016 after working for almost three years at a small advertising agency in Columbus Georgia. She currently spends much of her time helping the franchise owners of Primrose Schools customize their ads for local markets across the U.S.

Although she grew up in an artistic family, it was running that opened academic doors for Catherine. The cross country coach at Albany’s Darton College awarded her a full scholarship, and Atlanta’s Savannah College of Arts and Design (SCAD) followed suit.  She stayed on the Dean’s List at both schools and graduated from SCAD with a degree in Graphic Design and the distinction of being the first SCAD long-distance runner to qualify and compete in the nationals as an Academic All-American.

Catherine’s been drawn to publication design since her middle school yearbook days, and especially enjoyed internships with two different magazines while in college. She gained experience in digital graphics at Bethesda Magazine outside of Washington, D.C. and created numerous ads for THOM Magazine in Thomasville, Ga. where she continues to contribute on occasion.

In her off time, she designs invitations and stationery for friends and family, which includes a twin brother, two sisters, five nephews and a niece- so far.   Catherine’s fiancé, Beau, is a fitness enthusiast who serves as her personal trainer, so she still works out every day.  She is certain that her married life will be a blast now that she and Beau operate a seasonal fireworks business called Anytime Fireworks.
