ELIZABETH MCMANUS
Elizabeth joined the Jackson Spalding Athens office in 2006 after working as a loan officer for General Electric and in sales for a cable company. She serves as our Athens administrative and research assistant, a role similar to administrative positions she held at the University of Georgia. She says she loves public relations because every day brings something new.
A National Merit Scholar, she has completed four years toward her triple major in German, Music Therapy and Violin Performance and looks forward to one day completing her ambitious course-load.
Elizabeth is a classically trained violinist who played in the Spartanburg, S.C. Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of 16. She parlayed this talent into an orchestra seat with the University of Georgia Symphony Orchestra, where she played solo violin and viola and performed in several quartets. Today she can still be seen playing guest appearances with bands around Athens, merging her classical expertise with rock ’n roll.
Her time away from the office generally revolves around music. However, she is learning to cook gourmet vegetarian meals under the watchful eye of her beloved cat, Kikyo.
