ERICA HOLLAND
We know a go-getter when we see one, which is why we were delighted to have Erica join our firm as an intern in 2010 and as a full-time team member in 2011. Her confident, enterprising personality is well suited to our multi-tasking world, where she supports Orkin, Skanska and other clients.
Prior to joining Jackson Spalding, Erica was an advertising intern at a multicultural marketing firm, an experience that provided active engagement with media buying and planning as well as community relations.
She received dual degrees in Journalism and Spanish from the University of Georgia (UGA) and graduated, cum laude, with a major in Advertising. She held a number of internships during college, beginning with a LAGRANT Foundation Scholarship that helped her land at a consumer PR firm in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She worked two summers for Waste Management Inc., supporting regional public affairs and communications, and worked during her last year for UGA’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions, producing promotional videos and organizing and assisting with prospective student outreach events.
While serving as Vice President of UGA’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) Erica increased paid membership by 20 percent, making the chapter the largest in the country. She also served as an Arch Society goodwill ambassador, providing service to the University of Georgia and campus events. Her many accomplishments attracted many awards, including Gold Key recognition from the PRSSA National office, the Outstanding Senior award from UGA’s PRSSA chapter, recognition as a UGA Amazing Student, and Pandora yearbook honors as one of 12 seniors highlighted from her class of 5,000.
Erica’s lifelong passions have been reading and writing and she describes many pleasurable Saturdays hanging out in book stores. Recently she’s developed an interest in cooking and nutrition, so keep a lookout for her in the food and wine section.
