BRYAN HARRIS
Bryan Harris has experience managing the communication strategies of a diverse client base that includes sports marketing, engineering firms, public utilities, educational institutions, real estate groups and local governments. He has led outreach efforts for many sports-related clients at Jackson Spalding, including the Chick-fil-A Bowl, the Nationwide Tour’s Stadion Classic at UGA, the University of Georgia, TRUE linkswear and Scratch Golf Clubs. He is a member of the Golf Writers Association of America.
Prior to joining Jackson Spalding, Bryan was an account executive with a public relations firm in Lake City, Ga., where he served clients in media relations, special event planning, copywriting, photography, voice-over, design and overall communications management. Previously, he was a freelance copywriter and directed an adoption and family program for the University of Georgia's Center for Continuing Education and the Georgia Department of Human Resources, Office of Adoptions. Bryan also served as director of the Bulldog Christian Fellowship, a non-denominational ministry serving the University's campus.
Bryan attended Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Ala., where he was a member of their nationally-ranked golf team, before transferring to The University of Georgia. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Sports Studies with a minor in Mass Communications and a master’s from the Grady College in Mass Communication/Public Relations with an emphasis in Political Communication. He serves on the Alumni Board of the Grady College and recently helped launch their sports journalism initiative, the first of its kind in the southeast.
Bryan also serves on the boards of the Mercy Health Center, UGA Tip-Off Club, UGA Red Tee Club, and Classic City Community Church, commitments that led to 2010 recognition as a “40 Under 40” honoree in the Athens Banner-Herald. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, playing golf, and attending any sporting event that involves his beloved Georgia Bulldogs. Bryan and his wife Ashlea have their hands full with two young children, Hannon and Kyle Grace, as well as their Jack Russell Terrier, Bella. Ashlea says that Bryan knows a little about everything and she hopes he cashes in one day by betting it all in Final Jeopardy.
