STEPHANIE FITZSIMMONS

Stephanie brings more than two decades of public relations experience to her role as a senior account leader at Jackson Spalding and as chair of our New Employee Orientation Team. She joined us in 1999 to assume the day-to-day management of the Delta Air Lines account and continues today as a strategic counselor to the airline.

Her clear thinking and steady presence have been felt during some of Atlanta’s most signature moments. She was imbedded at Delta after the 911 terrorist attacks when jets were grounded around the world and information management was paramount. Stephanie also was on the early-response team helping Ashley Smith, Atlanta’s hostage hero, navigate the media storm following the Brian Nichols courthouse drama.

Chick-fil-A’s sports sponsorships have been a recurring career highlight. She led our Chick-fil-A Bowl team for three years and earlier won marketing recognition for her role promoting the LPGA Chick-fil-A Charity Championship. Past work also includes event promotion for Atlanta’s St. Patrick’s Day Festival and the Anne Frank Exhibit at Kennesaw State University. This strong penchant for event management stemmed from an early career stop at Naval Air Station Atlanta, where she managed large-scale sports and community events for the U.S. Navy.

Stephanie is a native of Davenport, Iowa and a graduate of Iowa State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. While she is grounded in her Midwestern roots, she is wired for wanderlust and has climbed the Great Wall of China, snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reef, and made it to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Today her adventures are closer to home with her husband and three young children, but all are card-carrying members of Delta’s SkyMiles program - just in case a travel opportunity presents itself.
