LAUREN COPPAGE

Lauren came to Jackson Spalding by way of The Coca-Cola Company, where she served as a public affairs and communications intern, and later, as a member of the team charged with brand communications and issues management. She continues to work for “Big Red” at our firm, providing research, media relations and event support on a variety of projects.

She graduated, magna cum laude, with a degree in Journalism and a major in Public Relations from The University of Georgia, a very logical path for someone who earned a perfect score on the writing portion of her Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT). While in Athens, she was very active in the UGA Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter, serving as the Diversity Committee Chair and earning the distinction of “Member of the Year.” She also served on the board of Safe Campuses Now, an organization dedicated to crime prevention.

Lauren gained practical career experience during college as a media relations intern at the Georgia Museum of Art, as a public relations intern at Anoroc Agency in her hometown of Raleigh, N.C., and as an intern at a top social media agency in Atlanta.

Away from the office, she enjoys playing tennis and riding horses, a hobby that began when she was eight-years-old and continued through college, where she competed with UGA’s IHSA Equestrian Team for two years. Lauren’s big dream is to one day have her own horse, but until then she plans to volunteer as many weekends as she can at a local stable that provides therapeutic riding programs for children with cognitive and physical challenges.
