ATLANTA (July 9, 2013) – Over the past month, two Jackson Spalding team members have been honored for their visual contributions to a past client and current client.
The Printing and Imaging Association of Georgia (PIAG) awarded Jackson Spalding Creative Director Brett Player “Best of Category” honors for “Hardbound book(s) – 30 + pages.” Player created a commemorative coffee table book celebrating 40 years of milestones for a well-known restaurant franchisor. He is a second-time award winner, having won “Best of Category” for corporate collateral in 2010.
Setting the industry standard for hand-drawn type in 2013 is Senior Designer Brian Steely. His Dallas Arts Week script logo is featured in the 2013 LogoLounge Trend Report, and is one of only 60 logos chosen from 35,000 entries across 15 categories. Two of Steely’s other hand-drawn logos, “The Recyclers,” created for Orkin; and “Electric,” created as a personal experiment will be included with the Dallas Arts Week logo in LogoLounge Volume 8, an annual publication of trend-setting branding design.
A seasoned and highly accomplished graphic designer, Steely has been honing his skill in hand-drawn type for only the past 18 months. A highlight of his earlier work, the Georgia Research Alliance logo, was featured in the LogoLounge publication in 2011.
