ATLANTA — Jackson Spalding, one of the largest independent marketing communications firms in the Southeast, will open a Dallas, Texas office in early March. This is the third location for the Atlanta-based firm, which also has an outpost in Athens, Ga. Joanna Schubert Singleton, a Dallas native, will manage the 2,110-square-foot Texas operation located on the 20th floor of Thanksgiving Tower in downtown Dallas. The office currently has two employees with expectations for growth in 2009.
“I am thrilled to continue working for Jackson Spalding in my hometown,” says Singleton, who worked with Jackson Spalding in Georgia for three years prior to relocating to Texas in 2008. “We have a very special culture and work ethic that is already resonating with Texas businesses.”
Jackson Spalding’s Dallas clients include Post Properties, Brookshire’s Grocery Company, Primrose Schools, and the Woodall Rogers Park Foundation. The firm also is kicking off Carry the Torch, a national fund-raising campaign to benefit the homeless featuring the Dallas-based authors of Same Kind of Different As Me.
“Dallas is a perfect extension for us because of its many similarities to Atlanta in terms of its industries and entrepreneurial culture,” says agency co-founder Glen Jackson. “Joanna is the perfect person to help us there with her deep roots and broad skills. She has been an outstanding addition to our firm and we know she will contribute significantly to our future growth in the Southwest.”
Singleton is a graduate of Highland Park High School and Washington & Lee University. She is the daughter of Drs. Richard and Linda Schubert.
