Jackson Spalding Honored for Client Projects at 2015 PRSA Phoenix Awards

Jackson Spalding earned three top honors and an Award of Excellence at the 2015 PRSA Phoenix Awards on behalf of clients Chick-fil-A, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience.

The Phoenix Awards are given by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Georgia chapter, the second-largest chapter in the nation.  They recognize excellence in projects and programs in the field of public relations.

Jackson Spalding received awards in Marketing Consumer Products – Retail Stores & Restaurants; and Integrated Communications – Consumer Products – Retail Stores & Restaurants for an integrated public relations program encompassing media relations, community relations, crisis communications, digital content development and social media management supporting Chick-fil-A’s expansion into the Pacific Northwest. The firm strategically coordinated the brand’s record-setting entry into the Seattle market with the opening of three restaurants in spring 2015.

For Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, a 14-year client, Jackson Spalding was recognized in the Websites – External category for developing a comprehensive microsite marking Children’s 100th anniversary where visitors can view an interactive timeline of the history of Children’s and share their Children’s story. The project consisted of research, content creation, and website design and development. Children’s drove visitors to the microsite, which launched February 13, with media outreach, events, social media, and materials distributed in its hospitals.

Additionally, Jackson Spalding earned an Award of Excellence in the Media Relations – Consumer Services – Travel and Tourism/Hospitality category for its work on the grand opening of the College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience in downtown Atlanta. Jackson Spalding focused on media relations to maximize coverage and spread the word about the attraction’s move from South Bend, Indiana.
